Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic WordPress Developer Intern to join our web development team at WebSenor in Udaipur.
The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of WordPress, HTML, CSS, and website development, along with a willingness to learn and work on real-world websites and web applications.
As a WordPress Developer Intern, you will work closely with developers, designers, and project teams to develop, customize, maintain, and optimize WordPress websites.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain responsive websites using WordPress.
- Install, configure, and customize WordPress themes and plugins.
- Convert design concepts and layouts into functional WordPress websites.
- Customize WordPress themes using HTML, CSS, and basic PHP.
- Create and modify web pages according to project requirements.
- Integrate and configure WordPress plugins and third-party tools.
- Assist in developing reusable website components and templates.
- Ensure websites are responsive and compatible across major browsers and devices.
- Troubleshoot website issues, bugs, and layout problems.
- Perform basic website maintenance, updates, backups, and content changes.
- Optimize websites for performance, usability, and basic SEO.
- Collaborate with designers and developers to implement UI/UX requirements.
- Test websites before deployment and identify functional or visual issues.
- Learn and follow development best practices, coding standards, and version-control practices.
Required / Primary Skills
- Basic understanding of WordPress CMS.
- Basic knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3.
- Familiarity with responsive web design.
- Basic understanding of PHP.
- Familiarity with WordPress themes and plugins.
- Basic knowledge of JavaScript is preferred.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication skills and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.
Secondary / Preferred Skills
- Experience with Elementor, Gutenberg, WPBakery, or similar WordPress page builders.
- Basic knowledge of MySQL.
- Understanding of WordPress customization and child themes.
- Familiarity with Git/GitHub.
- Basic understanding of SEO and website performance optimization.
- Familiarity with APIs and third-party integrations.
- Basic knowledge of website hosting, domains, cPanel, or FTP is a plus.
- Exposure to JavaScript libraries/frameworks is an added advantage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree / diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or a related field is preferred.
