The Role
As a Senior Process Designer with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.
- To independently execute and deliver high-quality process design and drafting deliverables for onshore/offshore projects. The role involves leading drafting activities, supporting engineers, and ensuring compliance with Worley standards, project specifications, and industry codes.
- Prepare and review process design deliverables such as PFDs, P&IDs, and associated drawings.
- Lead drafting activities and guide junior designers/drafters.
- Develop and update drawings using SmartPlant P&ID / AutoCAD / MicroStation / 3D tools.
- Interpret and implement engineer mark-ups, datasheets, and specifications.
- Ensure design accuracy, consistency, and quality compliance through self-checking and peer reviews.
- Support process engineering team in layout development and design coordination.
- Generate and validate Material Take-Offs (MTOs).
- Maintain project documentation and ensure proper version control.
- Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams (Piping, Mechanical, Instrumentation, etc.).
- Participate in model reviews, HAZOP/HAZID support, and design reviews.
About You
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
- Education & Qualifications
- Diploma / Degree in Chemical / Process Engineering (or relevant discipline).
- Relevant design certifications (preferred).
- Experience
- Typically 10-18 years of experience in process design/drafting.
- Proven experience in multi-disciplinary project environments.
- Preferred
- Experience in Oil & Gas / EPC projects (onshore/offshore).
- Exposure to brownfield / revamp projects.
- Familiarity with Worley/industry digital tools and workflows.
- Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in:
- SmartPlant P&ID (SPPID) / AVEVA P&ID.
- AutoCAD / MicroStation.
- Exposure to 3D modeling environments (E3D / PDMS / SP3D).
- Good understanding of:
- PFDs, P&IDs, process calculations basis.
- Line lists, equipment lists, tagging philosophy.
- Knowledge of industry codes, standards, and drafting practices.
