About the Role
We are looking for an experienced QA Lead – Automation Testing to lead quality assurance and test automation for a large-scale Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementation program.
The program involves Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O), Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (D365 CE), InRiver PIM, and Shopify Ecommerce, along with multiple integrations.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in D365 implementation testing, test automation, integration testing, SIT, UAT, cutover, and hypercare. This is a hands-on leadership position requiring both technical testing expertise and strong stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive the overall test strategy and automation framework for the D365 implementation.
- Lead automation testing across D365 F&O, D365 CE, InRiver PIM, Shopify, and integrated systems.
- Build and maintain automated regression test suites using elevaite365.
- Design and execute end-to-end business process test scenarios.
- Translate functional and business process requirements into automated test scripts.
- Lead testing activities across CRP, SIT, UAT, Cutover, Go-Live, and Hypercare phases.
- Develop and maintain the Master Test Plan, test scenarios, test cases, and traceability matrix.
- Validate end-to-end data flows between ERP, PIM, Ecommerce, and integration platforms.
- Manage defect identification, triage, prioritization, tracking, and root-cause analysis.
- Work closely with functional consultants, technical teams, implementation partners, business stakeholders, and developers.
- Coordinate and support UAT with business users.
- Track UAT progress, test execution, defect closure, and business sign-off.
- Manage test environments and test data across D365 sandbox environments, InRiver staging, and Shopify development/staging environments.
- Build a reusable automated regression suite for future Microsoft D365 releases and updates.
- Prepare QA dashboards and reports covering test progress, defect trends, risks, and go-live readiness.
- Lead and mentor QA automation and manual testing team members.
Required Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of experience in QA / Software Testing.
- 2+ years of experience in a QA Lead, Test Lead, or Automation Lead role.
- Hands-on experience testing Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O and/or D365 CE implementations.
- Strong understanding of D365 implementation phases including:
- CRP – Conference Room Pilot
- SIT – System Integration Testing
- UAT – User Acceptance Testing
- Cutover
- Go-Live
- Hypercare
- Experience with RSAT – Regression Suite Automation Tool.
- Experience with enterprise test automation, no-code/low-code, or record-and-playback automation tools.
- Experience validating system integrations and end-to-end business processes.
- Experience with Azure DevOps or similar ALM/test management tools.
- Strong knowledge of test planning, test execution, defect management, and requirements traceability.
- Experience coordinating testing with business users and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with elevaite365.
- Experience testing InRiver PIM or another Product Information Management platform.
- Experience testing Shopify or other Ecommerce platforms.
- Experience with Azure Integration Services, Logic Apps, or iPaaS platforms.
- Experience with ERP-to-PIM, PIM-to-Ecommerce, and Ecommerce-to-ERP integrations.
- Experience in Retail, CPG, Distribution, or Manufacturing domains.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Sure Step or similar ERP implementation methodologies.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 or ISTQB certification.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a hands-on QA leader who understands both enterprise ERP testing and automation. You should be comfortable working across multiple systems, managing testing teams, coordinating with implementation partners, and communicating quality risks to senior stakeholders.
Candidates with experience in D365 F&O + RSAT + ERP implementation + integration testing will be highly preferred.
What Success Looks Like
Within the first 90 days, you will be expected to:
- Become proficient with the organization's automation platform and begin building automated test scripts.
- Establish automated coverage for high-priority D365 F&O or CE business processes.
- Establish requirements-to-test traceability across the program.
- Build strong working relationships with the SI/implementation partner and internal teams.
- Define clear test plans, quality metrics, and exit criteria for upcoming SIT/UAT phases.
- Strengthen the regression suite to support both go-live and future D365 releases.
