About the Role
We are seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and student-focused Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) to teach senior secondary students (Grades XI & XII). The candidate should possess strong subject expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to prepare students for board examinations and higher education pathways. PGT teachers typically teach Classes 11 and 12 and are expected to have a postgraduate qualification in the relevant subject along with teaching proficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons as per CBSE/State Board curriculum.
- Teach subject content with conceptual clarity and practical applications.
- Prepare students for board examinations and competitive examinations where applicable.
- Develop lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and assessment materials.
- Evaluate student performance through tests, assignments, projects, and examinations.
- Maintain academic records, attendance, and progress reports.
- Provide academic guidance and mentorship to students.
- Foster a positive, disciplined, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching methodologies into classroom instruction.
- Conduct remedial and enrichment classes as required.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, staff meetings, and school events.
- Collaborate with colleagues for curriculum planning and interdisciplinary learning initiatives.
- Stay updated with curriculum changes and educational best practices.
QualificationsEducational Requirements
- Master's Degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university.
- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is mandatory.
- Minimum 50% marks in Post-Graduation (preferred as per school norms).
Skills Required
- Excellent command of English (spoken and written).
- Strong subject knowledge.
- Effective classroom management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, digital teaching tools, and smart classroom technology.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students.
Experience
- Freshers with excellent academic credentials may apply.
- 2–5 years of teaching experience at senior secondary level preferred.
- Experience in CBSE/ICSE/State Board curriculum will be an advantage.
