Job Summary
We are looking for an accomplished and result-oriented Sales Head to lead our sales function. The GM - Sales will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive revenue growth, expand market reach, and strengthen our presence in the trading sector. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of trading dynamics, product market trends, and a strong network of industry contacts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve business objectives and revenue targets.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to deliver exceptional performance and achieve individual and collective targets.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across domestic and international markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, vendors, suppliers, and channel partners.
- Analyse market trends and customer needs to inform strategy and identify growth opportunities.
- Drive pricing strategies and negotiate major contracts to ensure profitability and long-term partnerships.
- Oversee sales operations, including lead generation, conversion tracking, and customer relationship management.
- Prepare detailed sales forecasts, budgets, and periodic performance reports for senior management.
- Collaborate closely with the procurement and logistics teams to ensure seamless execution of orders and high customer satisfaction.
- Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to strengthen brand presence and develop new connections.
- Manage a team of 10 people.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in sales, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role in the trading or product distribution industry.
- Proven track record of driving sales growth and achieving revenue targets in the trading sector.
- Strong understanding of supply chain, procurement, and product life cycle in trading businesses.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong negotiation, networking, and relationship-building capabilities.
- Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and make decisive decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite.
Pay: ₹2,000,000.00 - ₹3,000,000.00 per year
