Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Instrument Technician with hands-on experience in installation, testing, and commissioning of industrial instruments such as temperature transmitters, RTDs, thermocouples, pressure transmitters, and flow meters. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring proper functioning, calibration, and maintenance of instrumentation systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation of field instruments including:
- Temperature Transmitters
- RTDs (Resistance Temperature Detectors)
- Thermocouples
- Pressure Transmitters
- Flow Meters
- Perform loop checking, calibration, and troubleshooting of instrumentation systems.
- Carry out testing and commissioning of instruments and control systems.
- Read and interpret P&ID drawings, loop diagrams, and instrument datasheets.
- Ensure proper cable laying, glanding, termination, and panel wiring.
- Diagnose faults and perform corrective maintenance on instruments.
- Coordinate with engineering and operations teams during project execution.
- Maintain documentation related to calibration and maintenance activities.
- Follow safety standards and procedures during all work activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Diploma / ITI in Instrumentation, Electronics, or related field.
- Hands-on experience with industrial instruments and control systems.
- Knowledge of calibration tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with PLC/DCS systems (basic understanding preferred).
- Ability to read technical drawings (P&ID, loop diagrams).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in industries like Oil & Gas, Chemical, Power Plant, or Manufacturing.
- Knowledge of HART communicator or similar calibration tools.
- Understanding of safety practices and permit systems.
