Position Summary
The role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial accounting, fixed asset control, inventory management, audit compliance, tender certification coordination, and management reporting support. The incumbent will work closely with Finance, Procurement, Operations, Stores, Auditors, and Business Teams to maintain financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.
1. Fixed Asset Accounting
Key Responsibilities

Maintain the Fixed Asset Register (FAR) and ensure accuracy of asset records.

Account for capitalization of assets in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.

Record asset additions, transfers, disposals, retirements, and write-offs.
-
Calculate and post monthly depreciation/amortization entries.

Reconcile fixed asset balances with General Ledger accounts.

Verify supporting documents for capitalization of new assets.

2. Certifications Coordination for Tender/others
Key Responsibilities
-
Coordinate collection and renewal of statutory, financial, and technical certifications required for tender participation.

Maintain a repository of company certificates, licenses, registrations, and compliance documents.

Liaise with internal departments and external agencies for obtaining necessary certifications.
-
Track validity and expiry dates of certifications to ensure timely renewals.
-
Support bid management teams during tender submissions.
-
Verify completeness and accuracy of documentation required by customers and government authorities.
-
Ensure certifications comply with tender eligibility requirements.
-
Prepare compliance checklists and supporting documentation.

3. Inventory Support during Audits
Key Responsibilities
-
Reconcile physical inventory with system inventory on a periodic basis.

Monitor inventory aging, slow-moving, and obsolete stock.

Analyze inventory variance and investigate discrepancies.

Generate inventory valuation and stock reports.
-
Ensure compliance with inventory control procedures and accounting policies.

4. MIS Support
Key Responsibilities
-
Support in periodic MIS reports for management review.

Collect, validate, consolidate, and analyze financial and operational data.

Develop dashboards and reports to support decision-making.

Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports.
-
Track budget vs. actual performance and identify variances.
-
Support business reviews by providing analytical insights.
-
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
-
Automate reporting processes wherever possible.
-
Support ad-hoc management information requirements.

5. Audit Support
Key Responsibilities
-
Coordinate with internal, statutory, tax, and external auditors.

Prepare schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for audits.

Ensure availability of records and evidence required during audits.

Track audit observations and support closure of audit findings.
-
Assist in implementation of internal controls and compliance requirements.
-
Ensure compliance with accounting policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.

5. DP Data Preparation & Monitoring
Job Purpose
To collect, validate, analyse, and prepare borrower financial and stock data required for Drawing Power (DP) calculation.
Key Responsibilities

Obtain and compile monthly stock statements, debtor statements, and other financial data from businesses
-
Verify completeness and accuracy of submitted inventory and receivable data.

Reconcile stock statements with financial records.
-
Coordinate with businesses to resolve data discrepancies.
Key Deliverables

Timely preparation of DP data sheets.

Accurate validation of stock and debtor information.
Work Experience
Education
-
Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com), Finance, Accounting, or related field.
-
MBA (Finance), CMA, CA Inter, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
Experience
-
10-15 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Commercial Operations, or Shared Services.
-
Hands-on experience in Fixed Assets, Inventory Accounting, MIS Reporting, and Audit Support.
