Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Site Engineer – Solar to manage and execute electrical installation, testing, and commissioning activities at solar project sites. The candidate will be responsible for site coordination, quality control, troubleshooting, and ensuring project completion as per safety and technical standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage electrical works at solar project sites.
- Execute installation of solar electrical systems including:
- Solar PV modules
- Inverters
- LT/HT panels
- Transformers
- Cables & cable trays
- Earthing and lightning protection systems
- Review electrical drawings, SLDs (Single Line Diagrams), and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and project teams for smooth execution.
- Monitor daily site activities and prepare progress reports.
- Ensure work is completed as per project schedule, quality standards, and safety guidelines.
- Perform testing and commissioning of electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and provide technical solutions.
- Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with electrical standards.
- Maintain site documentation including:
- Work reports
- Material records
- Test reports
- Installation checklists
- Coordinate with clients and consultants during site inspections.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and electrical regulations.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of solar PV systems and electrical installations.
- Knowledge of HT/LT systems, switchgear, transformers, and protection systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and layouts.
- Experience in solar project execution and commissioning.
- Knowledge of testing equipment (Multimeter, Megger, Earth Tester, etc.).
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Site management and team coordination skills.
Qualification:
- Diploma / B.E / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in Solar EPC projects preferred.
