Job Summary
The Electrician (OLTC & Marshalling Box) is responsible for the installation, wiring, and testing of On-Load Tap Changers (OLTC), Marshalling Boxes, and associated electrical control circuits in transformers. The role ensures all electrical connections are completed accurately, safely, and in accordance with approved drawings and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out wiring, installation, and termination of OLTCs, Marshalling Boxes, control cables, and transformer accessories as per approved drawings.
- Perform continuity checks, wiring verification, and functional testing before handing over transformers for final testing.
- Coordinate with Production, QA/QC, and Testing teams to rectify wiring issues and ensure compliance with customer specifications.
- Maintain proper identification of cables, terminals, and electrical components while following safety and quality procedures.
- Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are maintained in a safe and organized condition.
Qualifications
- ITI Electrician / Wireman or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- 2–5 years of experience in transformer manufacturing, preferably in OLTC and Marshalling Box wiring.
