FIRE SAFETY ENGINEER

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Fire Safety Engineer to lead fire protection engineering activities for large-scale industrial projects. The role involves designing fire and gas detection systems, passive fire protection systems, emergency response strategies, and ensuring compliance with applicable industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Fire Protection Philosophies and Fire Safety Design Basis documents.
- Design and review Passive Fire Protection (PFP) systems.
- Prepare Fire Water System layouts and hydraulic calculations.
- Design Fire & Gas Detection Systems.
- Perform Fire & Explosion Risk Assessments.
- Prepare Fire & Explosion Index and Chemical Exposure Index studies.
- Develop Emergency Response Plans and evacuation strategies.
- Prepare Safety Equipment Layouts and PPE Specifications.
- Conduct Hazardous Area Classification studies and drawings.
- Support HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, and other safety studies.
- Participate in design reviews and multidisciplinary coordination activities.
- Conduct site visits, audits, and technical reviews.
- Ensure compliance with international fire safety standards and project requirements.
Required Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience in Fire Safety Engineering within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, LNG, FPSO, or Chemical facilities.
- Expertise in Passive Fire Protection Systems.
- Knowledge of Fire Water Networks, Fire & Gas Systems, and Hazardous Area Classification.
- Experience with Fire Risk Assessment and Emergency Planning.
- Familiarity with:
- NFPA
- API
- ASME
- NORSOK
- DNVGL
- BS/EN Standards
- Experience in Concept, FEED, and EPC projects.
- Strong multidisciplinary coordination and communication skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Fire & Safety, or related Engineering discipline.
- 8–15 years of relevant industry experience.
