Job Title: Shipping/ Logistics and Documentation Executive
Location: Mumbai, Delhi (Full-time, On-site)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Shipping/ Logistics and Documentation executive to assist end-to-end import and export operations bulk, break bulk, containerised for metals, minerals trading and processing company. The ideal candidate will assist in post fixture chartering, shipment handling, logistics coordination, LC documentation, compliance with maritime law and regulations, and operational efficiency across domestic and international supply chains. This role requires strong knowledge of shipping, LC documentation, charter operations, marine logistics, BIMCO and GENCON rules and regulations, and inventory management to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective deliveries, BL release, Switch BL operations, appointing inspection agencies and Port operations.
Key Responsibilities
I. Shipping & Logistics Operations
1. Independently managing incoming and outgoing shipments, including packing, dispatch, and delivery coordination, BL Issuance.
2. Handle end-to-end import and export logistics processes
3. Ensure compliance with customs formalities and international shipping regulations
4. Maintain accurate inventory records and shipment documentation
5. Supervise inspections and survey compliances
6. Coordinate with freight partners to get the competitive freight rates and ensure timely delivery schedules.
7. Appoint Inspection agencies (SGS / BV/ Intertek/ SK Mitra) at Load/ Discharge Ports.
8. Take Insurance
9. FCR/ Warehouse Operations
10. Container movement operation
11. Co-ordinating with CHA
II. Maritime & Charter Operations
1. Charter party post fixture execution.
2. Liaise with brokers, ship owners, logistics partners, Ports and agents
3. Monitor laytime calculations and statements of facts
4. Conduct net pass voyage calculations
5. Manage documentation related to marine insurance and P&I club compliance
6. Ensure adherence to maritime laws and sanctions
III. Documentation & Compliance
1. Prepare LC Documents/ Complying presentation under LC.
2. Prepare and verify shipping documents including mates receipt, bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, and regulatory paperwork
3. Manage Sales and Purchase contracts w.r.t shipping, logistics and warehousing
4. Monitor shipment tracking systems (including PurpleTRAC or equivalent tools)
5. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory frameworks
6. Switch BL operations

1. P& L Evaluation & Voyage Estimates
2. Strong Analytical and Numerical Skills
V. Coordination & Process Efficiency
1. Collaborate with internal teams to optimize logistics workflows
2. Resolve shipment delays or operational issues proactively
3. Maintain clear communication with vendors, authorities, and logistics partners
Required Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Maritime Studies, or related field
2. Proven experience in shipping, maritime and logistics operations, preferably in operating and import/ export environments
3. Strong understanding of maritime logistics, LC Documentation (UCP 600) charter operations, and marine documentation
4. Knowledge of customs regulations, port regulations and international trade compliance
5. Familiarity with freight coordination and warehouse operations
Preferred Skills
1. Experience in metals, minerals and/ or commodity logistics
2. Knowledge of charter party procedures, Switch BL’s
3. Strong analytical and organizational skills
4. Attention to detail and compliance focus
5. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced logistics environment
6. UCP 600 Documentation/ UCP 600 LC applications and presentations.
Pay: ₹10,885.15 - ₹47,512.89 per month
