Job Description
Job Title: Junior PMO (Resource Management)
Location: Pune
Experience: 1–2 years
Reports To: PMO Lead / Delivery Manager
Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior PMO professional to support project delivery through effective resource planning, allocation, and tracking. The role focuses on ensuring optimal utilization of resources across projects while maintaining data accuracy and supporting governance processes.
Key Responsibilities
Resource Planning & Allocation
- Assist in resource demand planning based on project pipeline and ongoing delivery needs
- Coordinate with project managers to capture resource requirements (skills, timelines, capacity)
- Support allocation and re-allocation of resources across projects to ensure optimal utilization
- Maintain and update resource allocation trackers/tools
Capacity & Utilization Management
- Track resource utilization, bench, and availability on a regular basis
- Prepare capacity vs demand analysis reports
- Highlight gaps, risks, and under/over-utilization scenarios to stakeholders
Stakeholder Coordination
- Work closely with project managers, delivery leads, and HR/recruitment teams
- Facilitate communication for resource onboarding, transitions, and offboarding
- Ensure alignment between project needs and available talent pool
Reporting & Governance
- Prepare and maintain weekly/monthly PMO dashboards and reports
- Track key metrics such as utilization %, allocation accuracy, fulfillment timelines
- Support PMO governance activities including status reviews and audits
Data Management & Tools
- Maintain accurate data in resource management tools / PM tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Clarity, Excel)
- Ensure data integrity and consistency across systems
- Generate insights and reports using Excel / Power BI (preferred)
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 1–2 years of experience in PMO / Resource Management / Project Coordination
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas)
- Basic understanding of project management methodologies (Agile/Waterfall)
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to resource management tools (e.g., Planview, Clarity, JIRA)
- Knowledge of Power BI or reporting tools
- Certification such as CAPM / PRINCE2 Foundation / PMO certification is a plus
