Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop injection moulds using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, UG NX, CATIA).
- Prepare 2D and 3D designs, detailed drawings, and BOMs (Bill of Materials).
- Collaborate with product development teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
- Select appropriate mould materials and components based on product and production requirements.
- Perform DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and mold flow analysis to optimize tool design.
- Oversee the fabrication and assembly of moulds, working closely with toolmakers and machinists.
- Troubleshoot and modify existing mould designs for performance improvement or quality issues.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety, and customer specifications.
- Document all design changes and maintain up-to-date technical records.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Tool Design, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in mould design for plastic injection moulding (or as per your need).
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, UG NX, AutoCAD, etc.).
- Strong understanding of injection moulding processes, tool room operations, and materials.
- Experience with mold flow analysis software (e.g., Moldex3D, Autodesk Moldflow) is a plus.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
