Position: TGT Chemistry Associate Teacher

Job Summary
The TGT Chemistry Associate Teacher supports the Lead Chemistry Teacher in delivering effective and engaging Chemistry instruction to students of Grades VI–X in accordance with the CBSE curriculum. The role includes assisting with lesson planning, laboratory activities, classroom management, student assessments, and fostering scientific curiosity and analytical thinking.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Teacher in planning and delivering Chemistry lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum.
- Support classroom instruction through interactive, inquiry-based, and technology-enabled teaching methods.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, presentations, laboratory manuals, and teaching-learning materials.
- Assist in conducting Chemistry practicals and laboratory experiments while ensuring strict adherence to laboratory safety protocols.
- Support the assessment of students through assignments, projects, practical work, unit tests, and examinations.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, academic progress, and laboratory activities.
- Provide remedial and enrichment support to students based on their learning needs.
- Encourage students to participate in science exhibitions, Olympiads, STEM activities, and other academic competitions.
- Maintain discipline and foster a safe, inclusive, and student-centered classroom environment.
- Supervise students during laboratory sessions, examinations, field visits, assemblies, and co-curricular activities.
- Collaborate with teachers, coordinators, and parents to support students' academic and personal development.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development programs, workshops, and school events.
- Ensure compliance with CBSE guidelines, school policies, and child safeguarding practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemistry or a related discipline from a recognized university.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from a recognized institution.
- CTET or State TET qualification is preferred, where applicable.
- Previous teaching experience in a CBSE school is desirable.
Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of Chemistry concepts and the CBSE curriculum.
- Ability to conduct Chemistry laboratory activities safely and effectively.
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using digital teaching tools, smart classroom technologies, and educational software.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented academic environment.
