Job Responsibilities
The Data Engineer will be responsible for managing and organizing data (curation) for easier consumption by RoundPoint business units. The engineer will take an active role in participating in the data lifecycle management of projects with an emphasis on following best practices and patterns for efficient data curation. This role will be taking a lead on design, development, and maintenance of data integration and management at the company:
- Design and Development involved in multiple development projects utilizing SQL Server 2019 through Azure SQL Database in an agile environment.
- Work closely with Data warehouse team to develop the vision for the data platform and data services
- Knowledge of data warehouse best practice patterns/practices such as Kimball and Inmon
- Financial and/or Mortgage industry expertise preferred
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of comprehensive SQL Server experience working with SQL Server 2019 through Azure SQL Database
- Azure Data Services experience is preferred
- Excellent troubleshooting and performance optimization skills
- Excellent T-SQL coding skills using advanced techniques.
- Experience using enterprise integration management tools such as SQL Server Integration Services is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / related field or related work experience
- Familiarity with Ralph Kimball, Bill Inmon, or Data Vault Data Warehouse Architectures
- Exposure to Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, Synapse Analytics, Power BI will be an advantage
