Project Overview:
The goal of this project is to design, implement, and manage a robust network security infrastructure to protect our organization's assets from cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain network security systems: firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs (including site to site and remote access).
- Configure and manage VPN solutions to ensure encrypted, secure remote connections.
- Administer Google Workspace (Gmail Business):
- Enforce advanced phishing and malware protection.
- Configure attachment, link, and spoofing safeguards via Admin Console
- Deploy measures like Chrome Password Alert extensions or password protection policies
Enforce strong user authentication practices (MFA, passkeys, 2 Step Verification) to prevent account takeovers
- Conduct periodic security audits and incident response drills, including phishing simulations and network vulnerability assessments.
- Maintain security documentation, policies, and remediation plans in compliance with best practices and standards (ISO, NIST, etc.).
- Monitor and tune email threat filters to block malicious attachments, phishing attempts, and spam (Gmail blocks over 99.9% automatically) .
- Enforce strong user authentication practices (MFA, passkeys, 2 Step Verification) to prevent account takeovers.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in network security and VPN administration.
- Proven expertise with Google Workspace security tools and Admin Console.
- Knowledge of email threat detection, anti phishing strategies, and spam prevention.
- Experience with MFA, passkeys, 2FA setup, and access controls.
- Strong analytical skills for security monitoring, log analysis, and incident response.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CCNP Security, or Google Workspace Administrator are a plus.

- Strong communication skills to explain threats, preventive strategies, and policy enforcement to both IT and non-IT staff.
