Job Summary
OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
As an SAP BTP Architect at HCLTech, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) solutions that support the digital transformation journeys of our clients. You will leverage your expertise to architect scalable, secure, and high-performing SAP BTP landscapes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices. This role is crucial in enabling clients to harness the full potential of cloud-based SAP technologies, fostering innovation and operational excellence.
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of end-to-end SAP BTP solutions, including integration with on-premise and cloud systems.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into robust BTP architectures.
- Develop technical blueprints, solution architectures, and documentation for SAP BTP projects.
- Provide thought leadership on SAP BTP capabilities, advising clients on technology adoption, migration strategies, and best practices.
- Ensure security, scalability, and performance of SAP BTP environments through proactive risk assessments and optimization.
- Guide and mentor development teams during solution build, deployment, and support phases.
- Stay updated with the latest SAP BTP innovations and incorporate relevant advancements into client solutions.
- Participate in pre-sales activities, including solution demonstrations, proposal development, and effort estimation.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in SAP architecture, with at least 3 years focused on SAP BTP (formerly SAP Cloud Platform).
- Deep understanding of SAP BTP services (e.g., SAP Cloud Integration, SAP Extension Suite, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP HANA Cloud).
- Proven experience in designing and implementing cloud-native applications and integrations using SAP BTP.
- Strong knowledge of SAP security concepts, data modeling, API management, and DevOps processes within the SAP ecosystem.
- SAP certification(s) in SAP BTP or related areas preferred.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a global, multicultural team environment.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS (OPTIONAL)
- Experience with hyperscale cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) in conjunction with SAP solutions.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management frameworks.
- Prior involvement in large-scale SAP S/4HANA migrations or digital transformation initiatives.
- Experience mentoring or leading technical teams.
