Job Description:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and qualified Social Science Teacher to join our educational team. As a Social Science Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching subjects such as History, Geography, Civics, and Sociology to students in [grade level]. You will be tasked with planning engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and fostering a positive classroom environment that promotes academic success.
Responsibilities:
- Minimum 1-3 years of teaching experience in Social (Classes 6 – 10)
- Develop and deliver lessons in Social Science subjects that meet curriculum standards.
- Assess student performance through regular tests, assignments, and classroom participation.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their academic performance.
- Create and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, parents, and school staff to promote student development.
- Stay up-to-date with new developments in the field of Social Science and integrate current events into lessons.
- Participate in extracurricular activities, such as student clubs or school events, related to social science education.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, History, Geography, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Valid teaching certification (if required by the region).
- Previous experience teaching Social Science subjects at [relevant grade level] (preferred).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Passion for teaching and fostering student growth.
- Ability to incorporate technology and various teaching methods into the classroom.
