Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and machinery. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring uninterrupted operation of electrical systems, maintaining safety standards, and supporting preventive and breakdown maintenance activities in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, motors, panels, transformers, and industrial equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults in machinery and utility systems.
- Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance activities as per maintenance schedules.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and circuit schematics.
- Maintain and troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and automation systems.
- Monitor and maintain electrical panels, MCCs, VFDs, and control circuits.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and company procedures.
- Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to minimize equipment downtime.
- Conduct inspections of electrical equipment and identify improvement opportunities.
- Maintain maintenance records, reports, and documentation.
- Supervise and guide junior electricians and technicians.
- Support installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery.
Required Qualifications
- ITI Electrician, Diploma in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
- 5–10 years of relevant industrial electrical maintenance experience.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motors, panels, MCCs, VFDs, and control circuits.
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics.
- Experience in troubleshooting electrical and automation-related issues.
- Knowledge of electrical safety regulations and lockout/tagout procedures.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in manufacturing, forging, machining, or heavy engineering industries.
- Basic knowledge of PLCs, sensors, and automation systems.
- Experience in utility maintenance, including compressors, DG sets, and transformers.
- Familiarity with energy-saving initiatives and electrical audits.
