Job Summary
We are seeking skilled Structural Steel Detailers, Checkers, and Modelers with hands-on experience in Tekla Structures and/or SDS2. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of AISC standards and be capable of delivering accurate structural steel models, fabrication drawings, and connection details while meeting project deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Create accurate 3D structural steel models using Tekla Structures or SDS2.
- Prepare detailed fabrication and erection drawings.
- Review and check drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project specifications.
- Interpret structural and architectural drawings.
- Produce GA drawings, shop drawings, anchor bolt plans, and material reports.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to resolve detailing issues.
- Ensure all detailing work complies with AISC standards and client requirements.
- Maintain project quality while adhering to delivery schedules.
Required Skills
- 1–6+ years of experience in structural steel detailing.
- Proficiency in Tekla Structures and/or SDS2.
- Strong knowledge of AISC standards.
- Experience in structural steel detailing for commercial, industrial, or miscellaneous steel projects.
- Ability to read and interpret structural engineering drawings.
- Good understanding of fabrication and erection processes.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Civil, Mechanical, or related Engineering.
- Experience working on US structural steel projects.
- Knowledge of connection detailing and checking procedures.
- Familiarity with project coordination and quality control.
