Fitters in rock and quarry industries handle the heavy-duty assembly, fabrication, and maintenance of mining and crushing equipment. They ensure continuous plant uptime by diagnosing mechanical faults and repairing rock-crushing, screening, and conveying machinery.
- Equipment Maintenance: Conduct routine preventative and reactive maintenance on heavy machinery like jaw crushers, cone crushers, vibrating screens, and conveyor belts.
- Fault Diagnosis: Troubleshoot and identify mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults to prevent unexpected production downtime.
- Fabrication & Assembly: Cut, weld, and fit structural components and replacement parts using hand/power tools, grinders, and welding equipment.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manufacturer manuals to ensure exact assembly and alignment of parts.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to industrial safety protocols, hazard reporting, and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in high-noise, heavy-dust environments.
