JOB DESCRIPTION FOR RUBBER LABORATORY ASSISTANT
Job Responsibilities
Sample Preparation & Batch Testing: Retrieve samples of raw materials (polymers, chemicals) and rubber batches from the mixing line. Prepare test pieces for physical property assessments. Material Property Testing: Operate laboratory testing instruments to measure essential compound properties like tensile strength, elongation, hardness, specific gravity, and rheological traits (cure time/scorch time). Dimensional Inspection: Conduct dimensional checking of finished or semi-finished rubber components against engineered blueprint drawings using precision tools. Equipment Maintenance & Calibration: Maintain, clean, and monitor all rubber testing equipment. Ensure on-time calibration and maintain flawless documentation records. Traceability & Documentation: Fill out grade-wise compound history cards. Maintain clear batch traceability records and draft final lab testing reports. Shop Floor Support: Coordinate directly with production and quality control personnel. Safely supervise shop floor processes to troubleshoot compound defects. Candidate Eligibility Criteria
Education: Minimum qualification of B.Sc. in Chemistry / Polymer Science. Experience: 0 to 6+ years
Technical Skills: Foundational knowledge of standard laboratory instruments (e.g., Rheometers, Universal Testing Machines, Durometers) and basic computer literacy for generating daily MS Excel/Word reports.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
