Summary:
As a Business Architect, a typical day involves identifying opportunities that can bring measurable business value by thoroughly evaluating the existing environment. The role includes gathering and understanding high-level requirements and shaping effective business solutions. Throughout the day, the Business Architect translates complex business needs into technology-driven solutions and operational frameworks. Additionally, the role supports organizational transformation by preparing detailed business cases and providing guidance during the implementation of critical initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and fostering continuous improvement.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Analyze and understand business requirements within Oracle RMS context
- Prepare detailed test scenarios covering RMS functional areas like merchandising, pricing, inventory & replenishment
- Author test scripts with step-by-step instructions, expected results and RMS data setup conditions
- Map test scenarios to business requirements for full traceability
- Review and validate test scripts with business stakeholders before execution
- Test case execution & defect management
- Execute functional and regression test cases across RMS modules
- Log, track and triage defects with clear reproduction steps
- Coordinate with development teams on defect resolution and retest cycles
- Perform end-to-end scenario validation covering RMS-to-downstream integrations
- Prepare test execution metrics — test cases planned vs executed, pass/fail rates, defect density
- Track and report defect aging, severity distribution and open/closed trends
- Maintain test coverage traceability matrix and sign-off documentation
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Oracle Retail Merchandising System (RMS).
- Strong analytical skills to assess business processes and identify improvement opportunities.
- Ability to translate business requirements into clear and actionable technology solutions.
- Experience in developing business cases and supporting project implementation.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders and facilitate collaboration.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 2 years of experience in Oracle Retail Merchandising System (RMS).
- This position is based at our Chennai office.
