Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced AR Caller with 2–3 years of experience in US Healthcare Medical Billing. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Accounts Receivable (AR) follow-up, insurance claim processing, denial management, payment posting coordination, and revenue cycle management. The candidate must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with insurance representatives to resolve outstanding claims.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform AR follow-up on outstanding insurance claims to ensure timely reimbursement.
- Contact insurance companies via calls to check claim status and resolve unpaid or underpaid claims.
- Analyze denied or rejected claims and initiate corrective actions for claim resubmission.
- Work on various denial categories such as eligibility, authorization, coding, medical necessity, timely filing, and duplicate claims.
- Document all call activities, claim status updates, and follow-up actions accurately in the billing system.
- Identify payer-specific trends and escalate recurring issues to the appropriate internal teams.
- Coordinate with coding, billing, and payment posting teams to resolve claim discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and client-specific billing guidelines.
- Meet daily productivity and quality targets for calls and account resolution.
- Maintain accurate records of insurance communications and claim resolutions.
Required Skills
- 2–3 years of experience in US Medical Billing – AR Calling.
- Strong knowledge of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM).
- Hands-on experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) Follow-up.
- Expertise in Insurance Verification and Claim Status Follow-up.
- Experience in Denial Management and Appeals.
- Understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding concepts.
- Knowledge of EOB (Explanation of Benefits) and ERA processing.
- Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial, and Managed Care insurance plans.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and medical billing software.
