Roles and Responsibilities
1. Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis
- Develop and execute long-term financial strategies to support the company’s overall business goals.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets and forecasts.
- Perform financial modeling and variance analysis to identify areas for cost reduction and operational efficiency
2.Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Operations
- Oversee cost accounting functions, including standard cost development, bill of materials (BOM) analysis, and overhead allocation.
- Monitor production costs, material usage variances, and inventory valuation.
- Work closely with the plant and operations teams to optimize manufacturing costs and improve margins.
3. Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Manage day-to-day cash flows, ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet operational and capital expenditure needs.
- Oversee working capital, including strict monitoring of accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), and inventory turnover.
- Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, and foreign exchange (forex) transactions.
4. Compliance, Tax & Audit
- Ensure strict compliance with local, state, and central tax regulations (e.g., GST, Income Tax, Customs/Export-Import duties).
- Coordinate and liaise with internal and external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies to ensure clean audits.
- Implement and maintain robust internal financial controls and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
5. Team Leadership & Reporting
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate the accounting and finance team.
- Prepare clear and actionable financial dashboards and reports for senior management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a managerial role within the manufacturing sector.
- Education: Postgraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (e.g., MBA, M.Com) or professional certification like CA, CMA, or CPA.
- Manufacturing Knowledge: Deep, working knowledge of manufacturing processes, supply chain finance, and cost accounting principles.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with MIS Reporting
