Position: Supervisor -Stores & Logistics
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Arrange vehicles and ensure availability as per dispatch plan
- Execute timely dispatch of valves in line with defined targets and schedules
- Ensure proper loading, handling, and dispatch of materials to avoid damages
- Liaise with transporters, internal stakeholders (Production, QA, Sales), and stores team for smooth dispatch operations
- Track shipment status and ensure on-time delivery to customers/sites
- Handle day-to-day logistics issues and escalate delays or concerns proactively
- Prepare and verify dispatch documents such as invoices, e-way bills, packing lists, LR copies, and other statutory documents
- Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements related to dispatch and transportation
- Maintain proper records of all dispatch-related transactions
- Coordinate with FG stores team for material availability and dispatch readiness
- Support in maintaining inventory accuracy through proper documentation and system updates (SAP)
- Ensure correct picking and staging of materials before dispatch
- Coordinate with logistics service providers for vehicle placement and freight negotiations
- Monitor transporter performance in terms of timeliness, cost, and service quality
- Support onboarding of new transporters and maintain updated vendor database
- Support freight optimization initiatives such as load consolidation and route planning
- Ensure cost-effective utilization of transport resources
- Identify operational inefficiencies and suggest improvements
- Provide accurate inputs for weekly/monthly MIS and review meetings
