Cloud & Vendor Management Role
Cloud & Vendor Management Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure to manage cloud-native applications, oversee cross-tenant deployments, ensure secure and automated backup strategies, optimize cloud performance and cost, and coordinate third-party integrations.
The ideal candidate should have practical experience in Azure PaaS services, production support, scaling strategies, and cost governance in a multi-tenant environment.
Key Responsibilities
Azure Cloud & Application Management
- Manage and support applications built on Azure Functions.
- Configure and maintain Azure Blob Storage, Azure Service Bus, and Azure SQL databases.
- Support cross-tenant Azure deployments and environment configurations.
- Ensure high availability, security, and performance of cloud services.
Backup & Disaster Recovery Management
- Design, implement, and monitor automated backup strategies for Azure SQL databases.
- Ensure backup storage in Azure Blob with defined retention and compliance policies.
- Conduct periodic restore testing to validate backup integrity.
- Maintain disaster recovery documentation and readiness.
Scaling & Performance Optimization
- Monitor workload performance and implement scaling strategies for Azure Functions and related services.
- Ensure optimal resource utilization to maintain performance under varying loads.
- Proactively identify performance bottlenecks and implement corrective measures.
Cost Management & Governance
- Monitor Azure consumption and cost trends across environments and tenants.
- Implement cost optimization strategies without impacting performance or reliability.
- Ensure proper resource tagging and cost allocation practices.
- Provide periodic cost analysis and recommendations to stakeholders.
CI/CD & Deployment Support
- Coordinate and support CI/CD pipeline-based deployments across environments.
- Troubleshoot environment and deployment-related issues.
Vendor Management & Third-Party Integrations
- Manage integrations with third-party systems and external vendors.
- Coordinate issue resolution and monitor SLA adherence.
- Handle escalations and ensure timely resolution of integration failures.
Monitoring & Incident Management
- Use Azure Application Insights and monitoring tools for performance tracking and diagnostics.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive actions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure PaaS services.
- Experience with:
- Azure Functions
- Azure Blob Storage
- Azure Service Bus
- Azure SQL Server Databases
- Experience managing automated backups and restore processes in Azure.
- Practical knowledge of scaling strategies and cloud performance optimization.
- Experience in Azure cost monitoring and optimization.
- Experience handling third-party integrations and vendor coordination.
- Understanding of CI/CD-based deployment processes.
Good to Have
- Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104 or equivalent).
- Experience working in multi-tenant or cross-tenant Azure environments.
- Exposure to cloud governance and compliance frameworks.
