Job Title: Accessibility Associate / Accessibility APDF
Role Summary:
Support the development and testing of accessible digital applications by ensuring compliance with accessibility standards and improving the user experience for people with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform accessibility testing for web and mobile applications.
- Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1/2.2, Section 508, and ADA guidelines.
- Use accessibility testing tools such as Axe DevTools, WAVE, Lighthouse, and Accessibility Insights.
- Conduct manual testing using screen readers like JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver.
- Identify, log, and track accessibility defects using tools such as Jira.
- Work closely with developers, QA engineers, and UX designers to resolve accessibility issues.
- Prepare accessibility audit reports and recommend improvements.
- Promote accessibility best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG, ARIA, Section 508).
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web technologies.
- Experience with accessibility testing tools and assistive technologies.
- Good communication and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- IAAP certifications (CPACC, WAS) are an advantage.
- Experience in accessibility testing or QA.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per hour
