Job Description
Financial
- Identify optimal, cost effective use of the resources and educate the team on the same.

Maintain and update corporate database, entering guest bookings to ensure guest information / records are kept up to date and accurate for future events.

Assist in the development of occupancy forecasts for the annual budget.
Operational
- Ensure that team refers to guest history before creating a Guest folio to follow special instruction in case of regular and VIP Guests.

Oversee and audit the standards and operations of the reservations department.

Ensure the accurate positioning of the hotel in terms of occupancy and rooms availability
-
Oversee revenue management and distribution strategy of the hotel and manage day to day yield operations. Ensure calculative overbooking.

Give discounts and corporate rates, as per the company’s policy.

Supervise and delegate work to reservation associate
-
Handle additional responsibilities as and when delegated by the Management.

Ensure web site booking process is maintained up-to-date and functional.
-
Create and maintain a 13 month rolling demand calendar.

Analyse overall monthly hotel performance and provide summary report with recommendations to improve long term strategies.
Business plan /Analysis
-
Plan & prepare forecasts on a timely basis for review.
-
Plan & prepare monthly reports, forecasts and other relevant reports.
-
Ensure that the various monthly statistical reports are generated and assist in the development of occupancy forecasts for the annual budget

Responsible for best practice standards to include: competitor analysis; environmental scanning; distribution yield management; business mix yield management; length of stay yield management; inventory availability by channel; pricing control and new pricing concepts

Prepare outline for and support the annual revenue budget process.

Daily pick-up analysis, strategy adjustments and reporting.

Perform competitive benchmark studies and follow market trends.

Create and develop pricing strategies in conjunction with the individuality of each hotel.

Reduce the cost of distribution by finding new less expensive means of delivering business

Ensure that all room’s statistics reports, Report of Operations, and any other related reports are accurate and consistent.

Maintains daily communication with revenue management and front office.

Capacity to read situation, understand environments and respond accordingly

Able to develop relationships with 3rd parties and the hotel teams.

Performs functions of the Reservations Sales Agent & Revenue Analyst when needed.

Attends property Staff meetings, and other property specific meetings as requested by the Director of Revenue.

Contribute to the development of the revenue plan.

Ensures that property sales strategies are followed

Maintain an organized and clean work area and hotel environment.

Ensures that all revenue management related systems are maintained.

Ensure that the team has been trained for all safety provisions.

High level of motivation, determination and commitment.

Sound ability and knowledge to develop standards of operations and strategic processes
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Management or equivalent
-
Minimum 6 years similar experience
-
Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language

Proficient in MS Excel, Word, & PowerPoint
