Job Overview
KodeToCareer is looking for a Senior Counsellor who can effectively counsel students and working professionals, understand their career goals, recommend suitable programs, and convert qualified leads into enrollments.
The candidate will also be responsible for managing follow-ups, handling student queries, achieving admission targets, and supporting junior counsellors.
Key Responsibilities
- Counsel students and professionals through calls, WhatsApp, online meetings, and face-to-face interactions.
- Understand students' educational backgrounds, career goals, interests, and requirements.
- Recommend suitable KodeToCareer courses, programs, workshops, internships, and career opportunities.
- Handle inbound and outbound leads and maintain regular follow-ups.
- Convert qualified leads into enrollments and achieve monthly admission targets.
- Explain course curriculum, program benefits, career opportunities, fees, and enrollment procedures.
- Handle objections and queries professionally and guide candidates toward suitable decisions.
- Maintain and update lead information, follow-ups, and conversions in CRM/Google Sheets.
- Build strong relationships with students and parents.
- Coordinate with the marketing, admissions, and academic teams.
- Participate in workshops, webinars, college visits, career counselling sessions, and student events.
- Guide and support junior counsellors where required.
- Provide feedback to the management team regarding student requirements, objections, and market trends.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in counselling, admissions, EdTech, education sales, or a similar role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong counselling, sales, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
- Target-oriented and comfortable working in a performance-driven environment.
- Strong follow-up and lead-management skills.
- Ability to build trust and communicate effectively with students and parents.
- Basic knowledge of CRM, Google Sheets/Excel, WhatsApp, and other digital tools.
- Prior experience in managing or mentoring junior counsellors is preferred.
