Shopify Developer (Team Lead)
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain Shopify Plus custom apps using Remix framework- Shopify liquid/theme development
- Build and extend Shopify themes and theme app extensions
- Implement and manage Shopify Webhooks for real-time data synchronization
- Design and integrate backend systems using PostgreSQL and Redis
- Work with Kafka for event-driven architecture and real-time processing
- Develop and maintain APIs for seamless integration between Shopify and external systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, DevOps, QA) for end-to-end delivery
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues efficiently
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong experience with Shopify Plus ecosystem- Hands-on experience with Remix (custom Remix apps)
- Expertise in custom Shopify app development (Admin APIs, Storefront APIs)
- Solid understanding of Shopify Webhooks and event-driven architecture
- Experience with Apache Kafka for messaging and streaming
- Strong database experience with:
PostgreSQL
Redis (caching, queues, sessions)
- Experience in building Shopify Theme Extensions / App Extensions
- Proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript / Node.js
- Understanding of REST and GraphQL APIs
- Use of AI based IDE like Cursor , Copilot , Claude is must to have.
- Excellent communication skill
- Should have ability to lead the team of developers
- Good to Have
Experience with .NET (C# / ASP.NET Core) for backend services
Knowledge of microservices architecture
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Knowledge of Salesforce Commerce cloud
