- Key Responsibilities:
- Solicit and review tenders for electrical And MEP projects (HT/LT power, lighting, cabling) and interior fit-outs (electrical installation, HVAC, fire safety).
- Analyze project specifications and draw up scope (often residential towers, commercial complexes, interior contracts).
- Prepare cost estimates including power distribution networks, panel boards, cable trays, earthing systems, HVAC units, fire alarm systems, etc.
- Procure and evaluate vendor/subcontractor quotes for materials (cables, switchgear, panels, lighting fixtures) and services (electrical erection).
- Coordinate with civil and interiors teams when estimating multi-discipline projects (e.g. MEP plus civil).
- Ensure tender submissions meet client and statutory requirements (e.g. safety standards, municipal approvals).
- Organize tender documentation and submit bids to clients on schedule.
- Participate in price discussions/negotiations during bid finalization.
- Monitor tender outcomes and provide feedback to continuous improvement.
- Qualifications/Certifications:
- Diploma or BE in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or equivalent.
- Courses in Estimation/Contracts or AutoCAD are advantages.
- Experience:
- 3–5 years in electrical estimation/tendering, ideally with involvement in residential or interior projects.
- Background in construction sites is beneficial (understanding field constraints).
- Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of HT/LT electrical systems and Indian wiring norms.
- Experience with BOQ preparation, and use of electrical estimation tools.
- Familiarity with A/C (HVAC) equipment and fire alarm system components is a plus.
- Comfortable reading electrical one-line diagrams and panel schedules.
- Soft Skills:
- Good communication (to coordinate with architects, MEP consultants, clients).
- Strong negotiating skills with suppliers.
- Organizational skills (tracking multiple tenders, documentation).
