We're Hiring | Subject Matter Expert — Woodworking & Material Craft Makerspace Masters | Full-Time (On-site) / Freelancer (Online)
At Makerspace Masters, we’re reimagining school makerspaces as spaces where children don’t just learn—they build, shape, and create with their own hands.
We’re looking for a Woodworking SME who understands materials deeply and can translate that into safe, structured, and engaging learning experiences for students.
You’ll anchor our Woodworking and Material Exploration modules—bringing together craft, design thinking, and real tool-based learning.
What you'll do: Contribute to the Woodworking & Material Craft curriculum cluster Design hands-on activities using wood and basic tools (cutting, joining, finishing) Develop lesson plans, facilitator guides, and safety protocols Work closely with Curriculum and Instructional Design teams for module development Support kit design and tool selection for school makerspaces Train facilitators for on-ground delivery and best practices
Who we're looking for: Background in Woodworking, Carpentry, Product Design, Furniture Design, or related field Formal education: Diploma/Degree in Product Design, Furniture Design, Industrial Design, or Vocational Carpentry training Experience with hand tools and basic power tools in a learning or workshop environment Strong understanding of materials, measurements, and safety practices Prior experience in education, workshops, or skill-based training is a plus Ability to simplify complex processes into student-friendly instructions Full-time availability, based out of our office
Pay: ₹13,000.73 - ₹41,198.04 per month
