QC Engineer – Sponge Iron
PlantIndustry: Sponge Iron / Steel Manufacturing
Location: Chhattisgarh
Salary Range: 30,000 – 50,000/month
Experience Required: 2–5 Years
Employment Type: Full-Time
ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Control professional for Sponge Iron operations. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring product quality, conducting laboratory testing, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring compliance with plant quality procedures.
Only candidates from the Sponge Iron sector and Chhattisgarh-based candidates will be preferred.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Quality Control & Testing
- Conduct quality testing of sponge iron, raw materials, and finished products
- Monitor chemical and physical properties as per quality standards
- Maintain laboratory records and testing reports
- Ensure compliance with production and quality specifications
- Identify quality issues and coordinate corrective actions
Process Monitoring
- Monitor production parameters affecting product quality
- Coordinate with production and operations teams
- Ensure consistency in quality throughout the manufacturing process
- Analyze deviations and support process improvements
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare QC reports and maintain testing documentation
- Record daily quality observations and production quality data
- Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of testing instruments
- Maintain compliance with plant quality procedures and safety standards
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Knowledge of Sponge Iron quality processes
- Laboratory testing and analysis
- Quality inspection and reporting
- Understanding of steel/manufacturing processes
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Documentation and reporting skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Coordination and communication skills
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma / B.Tech in Metallurgy, Mechanical, Chemical, or related field
- Experience in Sponge Iron / Steel / Manufacturing industry mandatory
