Opportunity for the Position of Tool Room Engineer
1. Designation (Role): Tool Room Engineer
2. Department (Functional Area): Tool Room / Production
3. Reporting To: Tool Room Head / Production Manager
4. Company/Working Location: Moraiya, Ahmedabad (Gujarat)
5. Salary: 2.5 to 4 LPA (depending on experience)
6. Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Tool & Die Making / Mechanical
7. Experience: 2 to 5 Years
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacture, repair, and maintain dies, tools, jigs, and fixtures for press shop operations
- Perform die fitting, assembly, and try-outs for sheet metal components
- Handle preventive and breakdown maintenance of tools and dies
- Ensure proper alignment, finishing, and dimensional accuracy of tools
- Work on press tools, progressive dies, and cutting/forming tools
- Coordinate with production team to resolve die-related issues
- Conduct regular inspection and servicing of tools to avoid production delays
- Maintain tool history records and documentation
- Support continuous improvement in tool life and productivity
- Ensure safety and quality standards in tool room activities
Key Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of press tools, dies, and sheet metal operations
- Hands-on experience in die maintenance, fitting, and troubleshooting
- Ability to read engineering drawings and use measuring instruments
- Knowledge of tool room machines like milling, grinding, drilling, etc.
- Understanding of tolerances, clearances, and tool materials
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Team player with ability to work under production deadlines
