Position: Agronomist (Greenhouse – Field Work)
Location of Work: Primarily based in Gandhinagar, with Pan India travel as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and gather data on soil-based and soilless crop cultivation techniques.
- Analyze agricultural data to improve crop yield and optimize farming practices.
- Provide technical support and training to farmers and stakeholders in protected cultivation.
- Monitor crop health and growth; recommend solutions for pest, disease, and nutrition issues.
- Stay updated on new agricultural trends and technologies in CEA.
- Prepare reports, proposals, and presentations to share research insights.
- Assist in planning and executing agricultural development projects.
- Ensure adherence to environmental and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's in Agronomy, Agriculture, or related field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Protected Cultivation (soil and soilless media).
- Strong knowledge of crop management, pest control, irrigation, and fertilizers.
- Familiarity with modern farming technology and agricultural software.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Field experience and comfort with travel across India.
