Job Summary
The Footage Analyst is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting fabric consumption, footage utilization, and wastage throughout the garment manufacturing process. The role ensures optimum fabric usage, identifies losses, supports production planning, and contributes to cost reduction through accurate analysis and reporting.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor daily fabric footage received, issued, consumed, and balanced.
- Analyze fabric consumption against approved markers and buyer standards.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly fabric usage reports.
- Track fabric shortages, excess consumption, and wastage at each production stage.
- Verify fabric issue records with cutting plans and production orders.
- Identify deviations between planned and actual fabric consumption.
- Coordinate with the Cutting, Fabric Store, Production, and Merchandising teams to resolve fabric-related discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of fabric roll lengths, GSM, width, and shrinkage details.
- Analyze marker efficiency and recommend improvements to reduce fabric wastage.
- Support inventory reconciliation by validating fabric stock and footage balances.
- Investigate fabric losses caused by defects, cutting errors, or process inefficiencies.
- Generate reports on fabric utilization percentage and wastage trends.
- Assist in fabric planning for upcoming production orders.
- Ensure proper documentation for internal audits and buyer compliance.
- Maintain data accuracy in ERP or production management systems.
- Suggest process improvements to optimize fabric utilization and reduce production costs.
- Work closely with Quality and Planning teams to improve material efficiency.
- Ensure all reports are submitted within the required timelines.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
