As the Assistant Manager for B2B Operations in Mumbai, you will own the end-to-end execution of our enterprise transportation contracts in the city. You will lead a multi-functional operations team to deliver consistently excellent service to client employees, manage commercial relationships with clients and vendors, launch new projects as we scale from 150 to 300+ buses, and build the systems and SOPs needed to sustain that growth. This is a high-ownership leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of operations, client management, and team building.
Service Deliveryand Contract Standards:
-
Ensure that all active B2B contracts in Mumbai are operated at or above the agreed service standardson punctuality, availability, vehicle quality and driver behaviour.

Act as the senior operational point of contactfor client transport SPOCs; conduct regular service reviews and drive corrective action on any service gaps.

Track and report key performance metrics (availability, on-timeperformance, complaint rate, NPS) on a daily and weekly cadence, and own the action plans needed to meet them.
Audit Standards and Compliance:

Build a strong internal audit culture coveringvehicle condition, drivercompliance, route adherence, documentation and on-ground operations.

Ensure that client-led and third-party audits are cleared without observations, and that any audit findings are closed within agreed timelines.

Maintain readiness for surprise audits at all hubs and routes at all times.
SOPs — Establishing and Maintaining:
-
Maintain, version-control and continuously improveexisting SOPs acrossroute operations, driver management, vehicle readiness, incidentresponse and clientcommunication.

Establish new SOPs for processes that are currently informal or undocumented, particularly those needed to support a 2x scale-up in fleet size.

Train the team on SOPs and audit adherence on the ground.
Team Hiring, Structure and Development:

Forecast manpower requirements in line with the fleet ramp-up and plan hiring across route executives, supervisors, driver trainers and support staff.

Partner with HR to source, interview and onboard the right talent for the B2B Mumbai team.

Drive structured team development — performance reviews,training plans, career conversations — and continuously improve team productivity and accountability.
New ProjectLaunches:

Lead the operational launch of new B2B contracts and new sites within Mumbai — from route design and bus deployment to driver allocation, hub setup and go-live monitoring.

Coordinate cross-functionally with Sales, Tech, Finance and Vendor Management to ensure smooth, on-time launcheswith minimal early-life disruptions.

Own the first 30/60/90-day stabilisation of every new project.
FinanceManagement — Clients and Vendors:

Own the monthly billing cyclewith B2B clients:trip reconciliation, invoicegeneration, dispute resolution and on-time collections.

Manage monthly settlements with bus vendors and operators: kilometre/trip reconcilation, deduction approvals, payouts and SLA-linked penalties/incentives.

Work with the Finance team to ensure clean monthly books for the Mumbai B2B P&L and flag any commercial risksearly. Driver Trainingand Behaviour:

Partner with the Driver Trainerteam to ensureevery driver deployedon B2B contracts is trained on safety, soft skills,route knowledge and client-specific protocols.

Drive a measurable reduction in driver-related complaints and safety incidents through structured interventions, refresher trainingand surprise checks.
-
Maintain driver discipline standards in line with both Cityflo and client expectations.
Team and Process Improvements:
-
Identify recurring operational pain points and lead initiatives to fix them at the root, not just symptom-level.
-
Drive continuous improvement in cost, productivity and service qualitythrough better routing, deployment, vendor mix and process redesign.
-
Build dashboards and review rhythms that give the team and leadership clear visibility into operational health.
-
4–7 years of experience in transportation, logistics, fleet operations or large-scale field operations, with at least 2 years in a team leadership role.

Prior experience managingB2B/enterprise contracts, employeetransportation, or similar SLA-driven operations is strongly preferred.

Strong commercial acumen — comfortable with monthly billing, vendorsettlements and basic P&L thinking.

Demonstrated ability to write and enforce SOPs, run audits, and build operational discipline.

Strong people leader: hires well, develops a team, holds the bar on performance.

Comfortable being on-ground in hubs and offices as much as in front of a laptop. Fluent in Hindi and English; Marathi is a plus. Location Mumbai (field + office). Must be open to travel across hubs in MMR and occasional travel to other Cityflo cities for cross-learning and project support.
