Job Summary
We are looking for a Safety Executive / Senior Safety Executive to manage and monitor health, safety and environmental activities at our 100 MW ground-mounted solar project in Tadipatri.
The candidate will be responsible for maintaining safe working conditions, conducting site inspections, identifying risks, ensuring compliance with safety procedures and supporting a strong zero-incident safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts and conditions.
- Monitor safety compliance across civil, mechanical and electrical activities.
- Ensure workers and contractors follow proper personal protective equipment requirements and safe working practices.
- Monitor safety during solar module installation, mounting structure installation, cable laying, inverter and transformer installation, high-voltage and low-voltage electrical works, substation works and commissioning activities.
- Ensure compliance with Permit to Work, Lockout and Tagout, Job Safety Analysis and Risk Assessment procedures.
- Monitor high-risk activities including working at height, hot work, lifting operations, excavation, electrical work and heavy equipment movement.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions and regular safety awareness programs.
- Report and support the investigation of accidents, near misses and unsafe incidents.
- Follow up on safety observations and ensure timely completion of corrective actions.
- Monitor safety performance and compliance of contractors and subcontractors.
- Support emergency preparedness, fire safety, first aid arrangements and emergency drills.
- Ensure proper housekeeping, waste disposal and environmental practices at the project site.
- Maintain daily and weekly safety reports, inspection records, training records, work permits and incident records.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, supervisors and contractors to ensure safe execution of site activities.
- Promote and maintain a strong Zero Harm and Zero Incident safety culture across the project.
Required Skills and Experience
- 4–10 years of relevant safety experience in Solar Energy, Power, Construction or related industries.
- Experience in ground-mounted solar projects will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of construction safety and electrical safety.
- Practical knowledge of Permit to Work, Lockout and Tagout, Job Safety Analysis and Risk Assessment.
- Experience in incident reporting, contractor safety and emergency response.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with workers, supervisors, contractors and project teams.
- Willingness to work at the Tadipatri project site.
Preferred Certifications
Candidates with any of the following certifications will be preferred:
- Diploma in Industrial Safety
- National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health
- Institution of Occupational Safety and Health
- Occupational Safety and Health Administration
- ISO 45001
- First Aid
