Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounting operations for transport, logistics, and cargo services
- Handle freight billing, invoicing, and payment follow-ups with clients
- Maintain accurate records of trip sheets, PODs (Proof of Delivery), and cargo transactions
- Monitor accounts receivable and payable for transport vendors and clients
- Reconcile bank statements, freight charges, and ledger accounts
- Ensure timely GST, TDS filings and compliance with Indian tax regulations
- Coordinate with operations team for shipment-related financial data
- Prepare financial reports, MIS, and cost analysis for logistics operations
- Manage vendor payments including fleet owners, drivers, and contractors
- Support audits and ensure proper documentation of cargo-related transactions
Requirements & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in logistics / transport / cargo accounting
- Strong knowledge of freight billing, trip-based accounting, and logistics costing
- Proficiency in Tally, MS Excel, and accounting tools
- Good understanding of GST, e-way bills, and transport compliance
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
- Ability to coordinate with operations and logistics teams
- Attention to detail and deadline-oriented
