Job Description – Manager / Senior Manager – Accounts
Position: Manager / Senior Manager – Accounts
Location: Powai, Mumbai
Industry: Leasing / NBFC
Experience:
- B.Com with 6–10 years of relevant experience, or
- CA Intermediate with 3+ years of relevant experience
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Handle accounting for the sale and disposal of fixed assets.
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register (FAR) and ensure proper capitalization and asset tracking.
- Calculate and account for depreciation as per applicable accounting standards and company policies.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Revenue Management
- Perform revenue reconciliation and ensure completeness and accuracy of revenue recognition.
- Identify discrepancies and coordinate with business teams for timely resolution.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Monitor Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) ageing reports.
- Perform periodic reconciliations with vendors, customers, and ledger balances.
- Ensure timely payment processing and collection follow-ups.
- Resolve reconciliation issues and maintain accurate accounting records.
Compliance & Audit
- Coordinate with statutory, internal, and tax auditors during audits.
- Prepare schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documents required for audit.
- Ensure timely submission of RBI returns and other regulatory filings applicable to NBFC operations.
- Maintain compliance with applicable accounting standards, taxation laws, and regulatory requirements.
Reporting & Controls
- Prepare MIS reports and financial analysis for management.
- Strengthen accounting controls and recommend process improvements.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
Desired Candidate ProfileEducational Qualification
- B.Com with 6–10 years of relevant accounting experience, or
- CA Intermediate with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
Experience
- Experience in Leasing, NBFC, Financial Services, or Banking industry is preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and statutory compliance.
- Experience in handling audits and regulatory reporting.
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis, reporting).
- Knowledge of SAP Business One (SAP B1) will be an added advantage.
- Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems.
