About the Role
Ankur Export is looking for a passionate, result-oriented, and self-driven Export Sales & Business Development Manager to drive international business growth. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of identifying new overseas buyers, generating qualified export leads, negotiating commercial terms, and converting opportunities into long-term business relationships.
This is a target-driven role for professionals who enjoy building global markets and delivering measurable sales growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, qualify, and onboard new international buyers, importers, distributors, wholesalers, supermarket chains, and private-label customers.
- Generate export leads through Volza, Alibaba, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Global Sources, IndiaMART, TradeIndia, ImportYeti, trade fairs, and other B2B platforms.
- Research global markets and analyze import/export shipment data to identify high-potential customers.
- Build a strong international sales pipeline through cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, and virtual meetings.
- Present product offerings, prepare quotations, negotiate commercial terms, and successfully close export deals.
- Develop long-term relationships with international clients to maximise repeat business.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual export sales targets.
- Coordinate with merchandising, production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure timely execution of export orders.
- Maintain CRM, buyer databases, daily activity reports, and sales forecasts.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies, and emerging international market trends.
- Represent the company professionally during international exhibitions, trade fairs, buyer meetings, and online business presentations.
Required Qualifications
- 3–8 years of experience in Export Sales, International Sales, or Business Development.
- Proven success in generating new international buyers and closing export business.
- Strong hands-on experience with Volza, Alibaba, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Global Sources, IndiaMART, TradeIndia, or similar lead-generation platforms.
- Good understanding of export documentation, Incoterms, international logistics, and payment terms (LC, TT, DP, DA).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a target-driven mindset.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple international accounts.
