JOB DESCRIPTION – MECHANIC TRAINEE
Position: Mechanic Trainee – Two-Wheeler

Job Purpose
To learn and assist in the servicing, maintenance, inspection, and repair of Bajaj two-wheelers under the guidance of experienced technicians, while developing practical technical skills and maintaining workshop quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Vehicle Servicing
- Assist senior technicians in periodic servicing of two-wheelers.
- Learn and perform basic service procedures under supervision.
- Assist with engine oil replacement, filter cleaning/replacement, chain cleaning and lubrication, and brake inspection.
- Check tyre pressure, battery condition, lights, horn, and other basic vehicle functions.
2. Repair & Maintenance
- Assist technicians in mechanical and electrical repair work.
- Learn the correct use of workshop tools and equipment.
- Assist in removing, cleaning, inspecting, and replacing vehicle components.
- Support troubleshooting of basic mechanical and electrical problems.
3. Vehicle Inspection
- Assist in identifying vehicle defects and customer complaints.
- Perform basic inspection under the supervision of a senior technician.
- Report identified issues to the concerned technician or Service Advisor.
4. Workshop Support
- Keep tools and work areas clean and properly arranged.
- Handle tools, spare parts, and workshop equipment carefully.
- Assist senior technicians during major repair jobs.
- Follow instructions given by senior technicians and workshop management.
5. Safety & Quality
- Follow workshop safety rules and Bajaj service procedures.
- Use appropriate safety equipment while working.
- Ensure customer vehicles are handled carefully.
- Maintain cleanliness and prevent damage to vehicles during repair.
- Learn and follow proper quality-control procedures.
6. Learning & Skill Development
- Develop knowledge of two-wheeler engines, transmission, clutch, brakes, suspension, electrical systems, and fuel/ignition systems.
- Learn diagnostic and troubleshooting procedures.
- Attend technical training programs when required.
- Continuously improve technical knowledge and practical skills.

Educational Qualification
- ITI – Mechanic Motor Vehicle (MMV) / Automobile / Mechanical preferred.
- Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering is an advantage.
- Fresh candidates with a strong interest in two-wheeler mechanics may also be considered.
Experience
Freshers / 0–1 year experience preferred.
Pay: From ₹15,000.00 per month
