Role Overview
WeWork India is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical intern to support the
Sustainability and Operations teams in utility data management and ESG reporting
activities across the India portfolio. This internship will provide hands-on exposure to
sustainability reporting, utility management, data analytics, and operational
coordination within a large real estate and workplace environment.
The internship is for a minimum duration of 6 months and may be extended based on
performance and business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the site team on a predefined schedule to collect monthly utility bills
(electricity, water, diesel) for all WeWork India locations within stipulated timelines.
- Verify utility invoices against meter readings and utility provider/DISCOM statements to
ensure data accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Accurately enter utility consumption and cost data into the reporting platform, ensuring
proper unit mapping (kWh, kL, litres, etc.) and correct billing period alignment.
- Maintain and update a master utility tracker in Google Sheets with building-wise,
meter-wise, and month-wise consumption data, including variance checks and
missing-data tracking.
- Cross-check data uploaded to reporting platforms against source invoices and internal
trackers to ensure data consistency prior to submission.
- Follow up proactively with facility management and building operations teams for
delayed or missing bills while maintaining a status tracker and escalation log.
- Support the Sustainability team in preparing monthly and quarterly utility consumption
summaries, trend analyses, and MoM/YoY comparisons using pivot tables and charts.
- Maintain organised digital records of utility invoices, meter reading sheets, supporting
documentation, and platform upload confirmations for audit and reporting purposes.
- Identify unusual consumption trends, missing data, or upload discrepancies and escalate
them to the reporting manager with supporting analysis.
Eligibility & Skills
- Degree in Engineering, Sustainability, Environmental Science, Operations, Data Analytics,
Facilities Management, Commerce, or related fields.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, including formulas,
pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis.
- Good attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets accurately.
- Strong coordination and follow-up skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Interest in utilities management, or facilities operations is preferred.
- Exposure to ESG reporting platforms or utility data management will be an added
advantage.
