ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a proactive, enthusiastic, and growth-oriented Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join
our IT team in Pune. This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level IT professional who has hands-on
experience in cloud operations (primarily AWS), on-premises infrastructure, and Microsoft 365
administration — and is eager to grow in a fast-paced, learning-focused environment.
The selected candidate will receive structured mentorship and knowledge transfer from our experienced
infrastructure team, ensuring a smooth onboarding and a strong foundation to grow into a senior cloud
operations or DevOps role over time.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Cloud Operations — AWS (Primary Focus)
- Manage and monitor AWS cloud infrastructure including EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, CloudWatch,
and Route 53
- Perform day-to-day cloud operations — provisioning, patching, backup management, and
performance monitoring
- Monitor cloud environment health, respond to alerts, and perform incident troubleshooting and
resolution within SLA
- Manage IAM users, roles, policies, and access controls following least-privilege and security best
practices
- Support security group configuration, VPC networking, subnet management, and NACLs
- Assist with cloud cost monitoring and basic optimization using AWS Cost Explorer and billing
dashboards
- Maintain cloud documentation — runbooks, SOPs, change records, and configuration management
- Support integration of AWS services with internal applications and third-party tools
2. On-Premises Infrastructure
- Support day-to-day management of on-prem servers, networking equipment, storage, and end-user
systems
- Perform server monitoring, health checks, OS patching, and backup validation
- Handle networking tasks — LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, switches, routers, and basic connectivity
troubleshooting
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware procurement, AMC renewals, and third-party support
escalations
- Manage IT asset inventory and maintain accurate, up-to-date infrastructure documentation
- Support installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers and storage systems
3. Microsoft 365 & Collaboration Tools
- Administer Microsoft 365 — user creation, license management, mailbox configuration, and access
control
- Support Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Exchange Online for internal users
- Handle user account management, password resets, account lockouts, and MFA configuration
- Perform basic Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) administration — user and group management
- Troubleshoot M365 and collaboration tool issues for end users and escalate where required
- Manage conditional access policies and security configurations in M365 Admin Center
4. IT Support & Service Desk
- Provide L1/L2 IT support to internal users — hardware, software, connectivity, and application
issues
- Log, track, and resolve IT tickets within defined SLA timelines using ITSM tools
- Coordinate with external vendors and OEMs for issue resolution and warranty management
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding — account creation, device setup, and access
provisioning
- Assist in IT audits, compliance checks, and documentation requirements
- Participate in on-call or after-hours support rotation when required
5. DevOps & Automation — Learning Track
- Develop understanding of CI/CD concepts and exposure to tools such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins
- Learn and apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) basics using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
- Write basic automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python to reduce manual operational
tasks
- Gain familiarity with containerization concepts — Docker basics and container lifecycle
management
- Contribute to automation of repetitive IT operations tasks to improve team efficiency
MUST-HAVE SKILLS
- Hands-on experience with core AWS services: EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, CloudWatch, Route 53
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration — Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive
- Understanding of networking fundamentals — TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls, subnets
- Experience with Windows Server administration and Active Directory basics
- Familiarity with on-prem IT infrastructure — servers, storage, backups, and networking hardware
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve cloud and on-prem issues independently at L1/L2 level
- Strong documentation skills — ability to write clear runbooks, SOPs, and incident reports
- Good communication skills — verbal and written in English
- Self-motivated, ownership-driven attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
GOOD TO HAVE SKILLS
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification
- Basic Linux server administration — command line, file systems, user management
- Familiarity with monitoring tools — Zabbix, Nagios, Grafana, or AWS CloudWatch dashboards
- Basic scripting knowledge — PowerShell, Bash, or Python for IT automation
- Exposure to ITSM tools — ServiceNow, Freshservice, or similar ticketing platforms
- Understanding of ITIL concepts — Incident, Problem, and Change Management
- Basic awareness of Terraform or any Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tool
- Familiarity with Docker and containerization concepts
- Experience working in a managed services or cloud consulting environment
- Exposure to cybersecurity basics — endpoint protection, patch compliance, access controls
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related
field
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner is an advantage (not mandatory)
- Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (MS-900) or Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) is an advantage
- Relevant cloud or infrastructure certifications will be preferred over academic qualifications
