Summary:
UST is looking for an experienced UI Developer with strong expertise in React.js and modern frontend technologies to design, develop, and deliver responsive, scalable, and high-performing web applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, API integration, enterprise authentication, and modern frontend development practices. Exposure to Databricks Apps, AI/ML, and Generative AI applications will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop modern, responsive, scalable web applications using React.js and related frontend technologies.
- Build reusable UI components and establish frontend development standards, patterns, and best practices.
- Develop and integrate frontend applications with AWS cloud services and backend APIs.
- Design and develop interactive applications on the Databricks Apps platform to support analytics and AI-driven workflows.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product owners, data engineers, and backend developers to deliver intuitive and user-friendly experiences.
- Optimize applications for performance, accessibility, security, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Implement authentication, authorization, and secure API communication using enterprise security standards.
- Participate in architecture discussions, technical design, code reviews, and frontend engineering best practices.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes for frontend applications.
- Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve application reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
- Stay updated with emerging frontend technologies, AWS capabilities, Databricks features, and AI-enabled application development practices.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in frontend/UI application development.
- Strong hands-on expertise in React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience developing Single Page Applications (SPAs) using the React ecosystem.
- Good knowledge of libraries and frameworks such as Redux, React Router, React Query, or equivalent.
- Experience developing and deploying applications using AWS services such as S3, CloudFront, API Gateway, Lambda, Cognito, and Amplify.
- Strong experience consuming RESTful APIs and GraphQL services.
- Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development methodologies.
- Strong understanding of responsive web design, WCAG accessibility standards, and frontend performance optimization.
- Experience implementing enterprise authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, or SAML.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and analytical skills.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience building applications using Databricks Apps and integrating with Databricks Lakehouse and Unity Catalog.
- Experience integrating AI/ML services and Generative AI capabilities into frontend applications.
- Knowledge of AWS serverless architectures and event-driven application design.
- Experience with UI component libraries such as Material UI, Ant Design, or Chakra UI.
- Experience with data visualization libraries such as Plotly, D3.js, Chart.js, or Apache ECharts.
- Experience with Playwright for end-to-end UI testing and automation.
- Familiarity with Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
