Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee and manage the day-today accounting operations of our Company. This role requires strong leadership, sound financial knowledge, and a deep understanding of cost accounting, inventory control, and financial reporting in a manufacturing setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting strategic business decisions.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Bachelor’s/ Master’s/PGDM degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or CPA/CMA).
* 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a Project Based company with supervisory role.
* Strong understanding of manufacturing accounting principles, cost accounting, and inventory control.
* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, or similar ERP systems).
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling etc.) Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Able to handle Financial Audits and Timely Group Reporting.
* Experience in a mid-to-large scale manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of lean manufacturing and its impact on financial performance.
* Experience with tax filings, compliance audits, and government reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
* General Accounting Oversight: Manage and oversee daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.Ensure month-end and year-end close processes are completed accurately and timely.
* Cost Accounting & Inventory Management: Oversee cost accounting functions including standard cost updates, variance analysis, and product costing. Monitor inventory valuation and conduct periodic inventory reconciliations with production and warehouse teams.
* Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. Analyze financial results and provide insights to management for strategic decision-making.
* Support budgeting and forecasting activities. Compliance & Controls: Ensure compliance, local tax laws, and other relevant financial regulations. Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting policies to safeguard company assets. Coordinate with internal/external auditors and manage audit processes.
* Team Management & Collaboration: Lead and mentor a team of accountants and finance staff. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, procurement, and production to support business goals. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
