Role Overview
The Sr. Executive – Accounts & Finance will be responsible for managing billing operations (export/import), accounts receivable, statutory compliance, and financial record-keeping. The role requires strong coordination with customers, internal teams, and auditors to ensure accurate financial processes and timely collections.
Key Responsibilities
1. Billing & Revenue Management
- Handle daily export billing (CFS Stuff, Buffer, Factory Stuffing) and import billing.
- Manage monthly billing activities including:
- Area reservation
- Cabin billing
- Land connection charges
- Review and verify:
- Short collections (VGM, detention, reworking charges)
- Lashing and choking billing
2. Accounts Receivable & Customer Coordination
- Generate Export PD receipts and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Prepare and share outstanding reports with customers and ensure timely follow-ups.
- Handle export customer queries and issue resolution efficiently.
- Ensure dispatch of invoices via courier/digital signed format to export customers.
3. Financial Accounting & Controls
- Maintain accurate ledgers and accounting records.
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
- Ensure proper accounting of transactions as per company policies and standards.
4. Compliance & Audit
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements.
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing required documentation and data.
- Monitor and account for related party transactions in line with regulatory norms.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes
- Hands-on experience in billing & receivables management
- Familiarity with GST, TDS, and statutory compliance
- Good analytical and reconciliation skills
- Effective communication & customer handling abilities
- Proficiency in MS Excel / accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, etc.)
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Finance / Accounting
- 3–6 years of experience in Accounts & Finance, preferably in logistics/shipping/CFS industry
