Job Description: Commercial Design Engineer
Role OverviewIntegra Office Solutions is seeking an experienced Commercial Design Engineer to join our team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will be responsible for planning functional modular office spaces, creating precise technical production layouts, managing material costing, and bridging the gap between client concepts and our factory floor.
Key ResponsibilitiesLayout Planning & Space Design
- Design functional modular office layouts, commercial workstations, and corporate space interiors.
- Ensure all conceptual frameworks adhere strictly to modern ergonomic, aesthetic, and structural standards.
Technical Execution & Production Drafting
- Generate highly detailed 2D production drawings, 3D conceptual models, and technical shop drawings.
- Create accurate product cutlists and precise Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for zero-error furniture manufacturing.
Costing & Material Estimation
- Analyze client tender requirements and technical specifications thoroughly.
- Calculate exact material consumption variables to minimize production waste.
- Partner closely with internal Cost and Estimation Engineers to compile accurate client quotes.
Project Coordination
- Sync routinely with our core factory manufacturing unit located in Bommasandra, Bengaluru to supervise production feasibility.
- Interface directly with clients, external project management consultants, and site supervisors across commercial project locations (including Chennai/Bangalore zones) to finalize concepts.
- Requirements & QualificationsExperience
- 3 to 7 years of working experience specifically inside corporate interiors, modular office furniture manufacturing, or turnkey fit-out execution.Technical Skills
- Software: Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D), SketchUp, or Revit.
- Domain Knowledge: Expert understanding of commercial office furniture systems, manufacturing constraints, hardware fittings, and raw material types (MDF, Plywood, Particle Board, Metal frameworks).
Core Competencies
- Proven capability in handling commercial client interactions professionally.
- Strong spatial reasoning and mathematical accuracy for calculating material parameters.
