Job Summary
We are looking for a technically strong and result-oriented Project Engineer – Electrical (Execution & Billing) to manage electrical site execution, project coordination, measurements, BOQ monitoring, and billing activities.
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that electrical works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, project schedules, and BOQ quantities. The role will also involve preparation and verification of measurement sheets, RA bills, material reconciliation, and project documentation.
Key Responsibilities1. Electrical Site Execution
- Supervise and monitor day-to-day electrical installation and execution activities at project sites.
- Execute electrical works as per approved drawings, specifications, BOQ, and project schedules.
- Coordinate installation of HT/LT panels, cables, cable trays, conduits, wiring, lighting fixtures, earthing and lightning protection systems.
- Ensure proper installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical systems.
- Check workmanship and ensure compliance with applicable IS standards and project specifications.
- Identify site issues, coordinate with relevant teams, and implement timely corrective actions.
2. Project Planning & Coordination
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal project teams.
- Review electrical drawings and identify discrepancies, technical issues, and site requirements.
- Plan manpower, materials, tools, and resources required for timely execution.
- Monitor daily progress against project schedules and report delays or constraints.
- Conduct regular site inspections and maintain proper site records.
3. Measurement & Billing
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly measurement sheets for executed electrical works.
- Prepare and verify RA Bills, subcontractor bills, and client billing documents.
- Ensure measurements are taken accurately as per actual site execution and approved BOQ.
- Monitor BOQ quantities and track deviations, extra items, and variations.
- Prepare quantity take-offs and reconciliation statements.
- Coordinate with the commercial/accounts team for timely submission and certification of bills.
- Maintain supporting documents for billing, including measurements, work completion records, approvals, and photographs.
4. BOQ & Material Management
- Monitor project quantities against the approved BOQ.
- Prepare material requirement statements based on project progress.
- Coordinate with procurement and stores for timely availability of materials.
- Monitor material consumption and wastage at site.
- Prepare and maintain material reconciliation reports.
- Verify material received at site against purchase orders and delivery documents.
Technical Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of Electrical Installation & Site Execution.
- Good understanding of HT/LT electrical systems.
- Knowledge of cable laying, cable trays, conduiting, wiring, DBs/panels, lighting, earthing and lightning protection.
- Understanding of electrical drawings, SLDs, layouts, schematics, and shop drawings.
- Strong knowledge of BOQ, quantity estimation, measurements and RA billing.
- Ability to prepare quantity take-offs and material reconciliation.
- Knowledge of testing & commissioning procedures.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred.
- Knowledge of project documentation and reporting.
